Djarot Invites Kapuk Citizens to Clean Drains

Mr. RT, please you invite locals to join in communal work this Sunday, can you see that drain is dirty?

Besides visiting Kedoya Market in Kebon Jeruk, Vice Jakarta Governor Djarot Syaiful Hidajat also held impromptu visit or blusukan in a densely populated area at Jalan Swadaya, RT 16/12 Kapuk Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-District. The area is also clasified as highly susceptible to flooding in rainy season.

While wearing a plaid shirt, Djarot then went straight to a small alley while delivering a dialogue to local citizens. Its theme is about flooding in such area.

Djarot Held Blusukan to Flood Locations

When seeing the drains are clogged and filled with trash, he took the initiative to invite people hold a communal work together. "Mr. RT, please you invite locals to join in communal work this Sunday, can you see that drain is dirty?," he stated, Tuesday (1/27).

Former Blitar Mayor instructed local urban village head to repair the drains. "I want you (urban village head) to join in the communal work. The drains must be repaired and cleaned to smoothen water flow," he uttered.

Meanwhile, Chairman of RT 16/12 Kapuk Urban Village, Ending admitted his side is ready to realize vice governor's mandate. Moreover, he is also routinely holding communal work along with citizens. But, due to floods, water flow in the drain cannot flow optimally. "We're ready to involve citizens in communal work," he stressed.
